Halloween fun with little g
I love Halloween. I've always had so much fun planning & making my own costumes, and dressing up in them. Now that I have a little one, it's even more fun! Last year even though my daughter was only a few months old for her first Halloween, I still excitedly made her a flower costume. But for some reason this year I really struggled with what costume to make for her. I was really stumped! And our daycare was having a costume party for all the families & staff, so I knew I had to come up with something good! Then my husband said he wanted to be a pirate,
so I finally decided that he and I could both be pirates, and little g (my daughter) could be a parrot. :) Even though it probably wasn't the most original idea, I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

The party was also a potluck, so of course, I had to make something Halloween-themed. One of my fellow EtsyKids members, TinyStitches, gave me some great suggestions. One of them was for little spider pizzas which she found here:

I was going to do those, but I didn't want to have to bake a bunch of pizzas at the last minute and try to keep them warm on the way over to the party. So I borrowed the idea for the olive spiders, but instead of the pizzas, I put them on crackers with cream cheese piped on to look like spider webs:
Everyone had a great time at the party. It was so much fun to see all the little ones in their costumes. Now we have just a few more days before the trick-or-treaters will be coming by! :)

Entering the blog zone....
The blog world is new to me. I know many people have blogs, read blogs, comment on other peoples blogs, and so on. Even though I spend a good deal of time on the internet running my Etsy shop and emailing friends & family, I somehow passed right by blogging. I've been contemplating entering the blog zone for awhile, and was going to wait until after the holidays. But then I thought, what the heck...why not just do it now? Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today, right? So I decided to just jump right in...hopefully the results will be good!
